If you could choose between buying Stocks and buying Bitcoin, what would it be? Some people already made a decision while another percentage of people need to be enlightened on the two options first before making a decision. That’s the whole point of this article, to enlighten you. If you didn’t know anything about Stocks or Bitcoin, this article is for you.

What are stocks?

A stock is also known as equity. It is a type of financial security representing ownership in a company. If a company issues 10,000 shares and you decide to buy 100 shares, this means that you own 1% of the company as an investor.

There are different types of stocks: Growth stocks, value stocks, domestic stocks and so on.

And Bitcoin?

Well, you know what Bitcoin is even if you’ve been living under a rock. But for starters, Bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency that can be sent from user to user on the peer-to-peer Bitcoin network. It’s just like the way naira and dollar is. The only difference is that it is not physical. You cannot dip your hand into your pockets or purses and spend Bitcoin the way you spend naira (and other currencies) at the market or the mall. There are other types of cryptocurrency asides Bitcoin and they are referred to as Altcoins. (Check out all you need to know about Altcoins here)

Now, we are here to discuss which the better investment option is: between buying stocks and buying Bitcoin.

First off, were going to consider how you can make money from both.

Stocks:

  1. You can make money by profiting off a corporation’s increase in their market value. What this means is that when the market value of a stock rises, you can sell them and make your money.
  2. You can make money through companies that pay stock dividends. Dividend stocks are companies that pay out a certain percentage of their earnings to a group of people who have a share with them, regularly. These percentages are known as dividends. A stock dividnd is a dividend paymnt to shareholders that is made in shares rather than cash. Its just like youre getting paid to invest.

You can invest in companies such as Amazon, Netflix and others.

Bitcoin:

There are lots of ways to make money with Bitcoin, especially in 2021. They include: Mining, Buying and Holding, Trading and others. Check out this article on ways to make money with crypto in 2021.

Consequently, we will be talking on just 2 ways here: Buying and Holding AND Trading.

  1. Buying and Holding

This is one sure way to invest in Bitcoin and make money. This is very straightforward and beginner friendly. What you need to do is to get a Bitcoin wallet, buy Bitcoin, and then hope that the price of Bitcoin rises later in the future no matter how long it may take, and then sell it eventually. You can choose to sell weeks after buying or months or even years. You need to be patient and be able to wait to try this out. For example if you bought DODECOIN

  1. Trading

Trading is a very fast way to make money with Bitcoin. Bitcoin is very volatile. This means that its rate is not fixed. It changes by the minute. Bitcoin Trading takes advantage of this. To trade, you need to be knowledgeable and you need to have had enough practice.

IN CONCLUSION;

Some of us have even been asked to choose between investing in stocks and investing in Bitcoin. But what if you didn’t have to choose? Here’s what we’re trying to say. Buying stocks is a great idea, so also is buying Bitcoin. While you trade in Bitcoin, you can also earn money from Stocks on the side. “I’ve got too much money”, said no one ever. Money can never be too much.

If you want to buy stocks, sadly, we’re not the one for you. But if you want to trade all kinds of Cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, name it, we are your guy.
